canon printer inkjet problems

By admin

Why won’t my printer print red?

I have a canon mp260, which I refill with JR Inkjet refills, I have never had a problem with refilling the two times I have refilled before but this time, the printer will not print red everything is coming out yellow and blue, it also won’t print black. I have refilled all the cartridges so they are definatley full so I don’t know what the problem is. Also the printers C light is constantly on and the B light is flashing amber. Please help.

Sorry, I don’t know that exact printer.

With the type that has a combined ink cartridge and print-head, if the cartridge gets completely empty, it can get an airlock in the print head.

Carefully fill that colour until it’s to the point of overflowing, then wedge the filling syringe tight into the cartridge (possibly without the needle), turn it so the print nozzles are at the top and steadily push ink in until liquid ink (not just bubbles or froth) comes out the print nozzles.

Turn it back syringe upwards, refit the needle and carefully suck out any excess from the top of the cartridge, or back to whatever level the ink refill instructions say it should be filled to.

Be careful, wear ink-proof gloves and work over a large newspaper or something so any ink splashes or sprays don’t make a mess..
