How I can connect my printer?
I have a 2.11 year old Acer laptop connected to the Internet (the ISP is Charter) through a wireless router. I am looking to connect a printer wirelessly. Is this possible? If so, do I need a special printer or I can connect my inkjet printer Epson ink (not wireless). Since I have only the laptop, no network setup in my house. My router is a D-Link DIR 601 n150 model. My computer uses Windows Vista, but I could upgrade to Windows 7 in the next couple of months or so.
1. Take the printer from the box and check. Make sure any party in damages. Remove the special separators according to the instructions that come with the printer. You do not want power when packing chips in place and this can damage the Printer. 2 Once the printer is ready to go, plug it in and turn it on. There should be an interactive set of screen printer that can be used to indicate the appropriate wireless settings. You want to use the same security settings for the printer you have configured the wireless router. I recommend using WEP settings so it does not emit any of your documents or online activity in the neighborhood. 3 Once you have entered the printer settings, is ready to lead his team and install the drivers with the CD-ROM included with the printer. If you do not have the CD-ROM go to the manufacturer's website for the driver more recent. 4 Once installed the drivers for your computer should start to pick up the printer. If you do not recognize the printer, make sure the printer settings themselves are accurate. Recheck your configuration controller on your computer. You can do this via the control panel. To reach the control panel, click in the Windows button at the bottom left of the control panel and select the printer and then Hardware and Sound. 5 You can solve any problem completely uninstall old drivers and installing new ones. Make sure the printer settings are correct. Also make sure you download the driver most recent manufacturer's website.
