What would you recommend printer. I want to be able to scan a USB drive or accessible via the network.?
I would be able to scan images to a USB drive or a drive that is accessible through my network (ie, the printer looks like a USB drive itself with all the scanned files him). Have any cost inkjet or laser printers offer under this? I would like to remain in the range of $ 100 but am willing to pay more for this function. A few other options that I would, but not absolutely necessary: 1. Paper tray. 2. Color. 3. Wireless. 4. Epson, HP, Canon or brand. 5. Good user interface in the printer. 6. Small conductors, non-invasive.
You probably spend a little more than $ 100, but I would go with HP. You may not have access, but if you have a wifi router at home (as with a cable modem, etc) you can connect to a network printer with a cable and then still print wirelessly. I like HP, Canon I have had many problems. HP has some nice where you can scan to a USB drive, directly to your desktop printer or scan from your computer (a through software). There are some for $ 100 or less, that match that criteria. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx? I guess that can happen to any of them.
