Downloading a driver for a printer….?
I am trying to download a driver for this lexmark 3000 color inkjet printer. I saved it to the desktop and when I go to open it and do whatever, it asks me to unzip files and I do then it goes to like a MS DOS screen with a blank screen and cursor. What do I do from there or am I doing something wrong. I just need to know how to do this. I have never had trouble installing a printer before this, but it has been a very long time, so maybe my memory is not so good anymore. Thank you ahead of time.
Uninstall the driver if it has been set up. Find out if it has been installed, please check it through the Control Panel.
Download a new driver from Lexmark web http://support.lexmark.com/static/229-1-0-18.html and then try Tony S’s suggestion, install your printer through the control panel or simply connect your power-on printer and let your computer to locate the suitable printer driver for you.
