Connect wirelessly to laptop Canon Pixma MX700 ?!?!?

We recently purchased a Canon Pixma MX700 multifunction printer and has connected to our desktop computer by our computer technician. Now I need to connect my laptop wirelessly. I was wondering if anyone knows how to do this? I have an Acer TravelMate 4730 with Windows XP. The printer connects to your router
