Can I connect a laptop to a printer and print from the laptop?

I have a Canon Pixma iP3000 camera style with a USB port PictBridge interface in front of you. My PC is connected via the traditional printer port on the back, so I was wondering if I can connect my laptop to the printer using a USB cable and transfer the PictBridge port? Forget the camera. I just want to print directly from the laptop.

yes you can, but the option is for cameras pictbrige and can connect the camera to the laptop and you get the impression that
