What are the best security programs for ubuntu?
1. im going to be installing ubuntu on my desktop and i know it says you dont “need” security but i want it just in case. What are the best firewall, maleware and antivirus programs for it?
2. also where can i get all my drivers for my printer(canon pixma 480) as well as other standard drivers etc

Ubuntu already comes with a firewall, “iptables” the only problem is that it can be a pain in the butt to configure it; however, there is a graphical interface called “Firestarter” that makes it easy for you. It is available for download in Add/Remove.
As for an antivirus, I recommend “ClamAV,” It can also be downloaded from Add/Remove. It is very doubtful that you will ever encounter a virus that will affect your system.
I don’t have a clue about the canon printer. I suggest you invest on an HP printer.
