What is the best way to print on CD? Inkjet or thermal?
Hello, I need to print black text (perhaps the images, but this is not so important) in the blank CDs to be of reasonable quality and durability. As I have to print hundreds of copies of costs is an important factor. I would like know the best and cheapest way to do this? I am aware of two ways. Spend a thermal printer as the First Signature Z1. or an inkjet printer such as Epson R220 Stylus printing on the disc. speed, cost, quality, any ideas? Besides, stomping and cd disc label? thanks!
Thermo will give results faster and cheaper, however it can be difficult to get labels or CD's that can make a thermal printing. Thermal paper is very different from plain paper and often are not available. If you can get a consistent source of supply, then go thermal challenging. The only advantage is that inkjet supplies are readily available. However, it is the most time consuming and expensive to print.
