Can inkjet printers for writing file data to be read by scanners?
Scanners can read a surface printed several hundred dots per inch resolution. Inkjet printers can print four color points with similar accuracy. Would the four colors can be used as an encoding mechanism for storing information in a good quality of coated papers, which could be formulated to last for millennia? Many tens of megabytes of data to fit on an A4 size sheet, which are gray, being covered by points in the four printing colors cyan, magenta, yellow and black. These colors may represent zero, one, two, three, which is the basis of a quaternary numbering system. All that is needed are programs to convert data into a pattern Inkjet and read them again in a computer from a scanner. A good inkjet printing is good enough for any decent scanner to turn it into an image file and then read through any OCR (Optical Recognition Program). To OCR – is preferable not to have the document in color, and during the conversion to B / W and yellow Cyan will become light gray colors, the software might have problems to recognize what you are suggesting that has not been done so far. Why not submit your proposal to one of the scanner and appropriate software manufacturers for R & D the subject.
